Backpack Over Locker

While filming the project I learned (partially) how to interview someone for a documentary. It did not go quite as planned, however given the circumstances, we did pretty well. B roll was not a problem, in fact, we had plenty, more than enough even. If I were to do something better next time, I would prepare more questions in the case that I would have to ask some in case things didn't go quite the way i expected it. For example: when we asked her if she used her locker, it completely caught us off guard and we had to improvise the rest of the questions. I think the news story was okay. Not good. Not bad.

Historical interview

1. What were your historical figure's greatest accomplishments?
    My figure showed the potential intellect of the african people by self-taught science.
2. What were your historical figure's points of view on issues relating to his or her historical era?
    My figure was born from a free american woman and a fugitive slave, naturally he opposed slavery.
2. How did your historical figure influence others during and beyond his or her era?
    Being that he was an intelligent African-American as much as european and american men of that     era, he showed that a black man can be just as smart as a white man.
3. what are some of your historical figures personality traits?
    Benjamin Banneker was a person driven by those who sought to discourage him. he made it his goal to become an astronomer and prove Americans and Europeans wrong about Africans and African-Americans
4. What other interesting facts did you learn about your historical figure?
    I learned that he had once written a letter the Thomas Jefferson about how he opposed slavery, however Benjamin found it pitiful that a man with such views would own slaves himself.
